My name is Helena and I am a guest blogger for Marina Miracle. I am very passionate about good health and diet, and of course natural skin care! Here is a recipe for my super smoothie that always gives me lots of energy throughout the day (and very good for your skin!)
Why are SMOOTHIES so good for you?
There are probably millions of different recipes for smoothies. Why are smoothies so good for you? (Other that it is incredibly delicious and easy to make.)
With the right ingredients, you can give yourself and your body a tasty and healthy meal that is packed with vitamins, nutrients, fatty acids and antioxidants! Which is both good for your wellbeeing, health and to maintain a glowing, healthy skin.
4-5 pieces frozen strawberries
4-5 pieces frozen papaya / pineapple / mango
1/2 lemon (juice)
2 tsp goji berries (Superfood! It contains 500 times more vitamin C than oranges, three times more iron than spinach and 6 times more beta carotene than carrots!)
2-3 brazil nuts
2 teaspoons mix of seeds (sesame seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds)
1 tablespoon rosehip powder (optional)
1 teaspoon cranberry powder (optional)
1 teaspoon Quinna
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoon coconut oil
1 pinch of turmeric
1 cup almond milk (unsweetened)
1 cup water
Mix all the ingredients in a blender, and pour some almond milk and water.
Rosehip powder and cranberry powder can be replaced with spirulina or another powder you like. If you are allergic to nuts / seeds you can replace these with oatmeal or half an avocado to get the healthy fatty acids.
Happy blending! :)
